I attended a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course in 2011, when faced with a very difficult time at work, and found it very helpful. I went on to completed teacher training in 2013.
I am an engineer and a psychologist by training, and I am still in an employed role as well as running MBSR courses in organisations, and through open courses.
As a scientist and psychologist the theory and evidence underpinning Mindfulness are very important to me so even though we do not cover those in the course itself (there isn’t an exam!) – they do help me make sure I am teaching from solid and reliable foundations.
